We are proud to announce the addition of New York State CCW safety and certification course to our training catalogue.  This course is what you need in order to qualify for the minimum requirements in order to apply for your NYS CCW Permit.  In addition to the minimum requirements set forth by New York State, RAS Group will also provide students with a step-by-step guide on completing the pistol permit application, the best practices for concealed carrying, best recommendations for choosing an appropriate firearm for your first handgun purchase, and a comprehensive plan for our students after completing this course.

The Handgun Foundations course is a beginner, in person training for people who have a basic knowledge of handgun and handgun safety, looking to expand on the basic fundamentals of correct shooting in a defensive context.   

The Handgun Performance course is our advanced, in person training for people who have successfully completed both Handgun Foundations course and Handgun Proficiency course or other comparable courses.

This course specifically looks at the application and practicality of Red Dot Sights on handguns. In this course we will discuss the proper zero for a red dot sights on a handgun, sight picture confirmation levels specific to red dot sights, target focus, and how to analyze real time feedback. 

This course is specific to law enforcement and armed security personnel, proof of employment will be required.  This course will focus on fundamental enhancement with emphasis on grip, vision and draw. Gear placement and methodology, reloads, movement with a handgun, barrier work, and two person scenarios. 

We also offer customized 1 on 1 training based on your specific needs and areas that you want to work on.  1 on 1 rates start at $200 for 3 hours, and then students will be charged an additional $50 per hour up to 6 hours.
